It’s official – the critically endangered North Atlantic Right Whales are back in
Cape Cod Bay and Provincetown, according to Center for Coastal Studies, quoted in the Boston Globe!
Center for Coastal Studies, located right here in Provincetown, reports that there are only 526 North Atlantic Right Whales left in the world. We are so very lucky that they come to and through Provincetown each year in late spring. In some years, we’ve had more than the world’s population swimming in our bay.
One of the top questions we get here at Fanizzi’s is: “Do you see whales at your restaurant?”
YES, and yes we’ve seen the Right Whales.
Of course, no one can guarantee what time they’ll be visible or when, but come have a seat in our restaurant or bar and enjoy a meal or drink while you scan the horizon for these majestic creatures. They are a big part of what make Provincetown such a wonderful place. Don’t miss seeing the Right Whales!
